In 2017, Saburomaru Distillery underwent a complete refurbishment and introduced ZEMON, the world's first cast-bronze pot still. By combining traditional casting techniques with modern distilling requirements, this innovation breathed new life into the distillery. ■ First Release: Saburomaru 0 THE FOOL**
In November 2020, Saburomaru released its first Tarot-themed single malt whisky, "0 THE FOOL", limited to just 2,000 bottles. At the time, distillery head Takahiko Inagaki wrote: "The young fool sets out on his journey, carrying little luggage but holding grand ambitions."

This expression marks a fresh start for the distillery. Reborn in 2017, Saburomaru carries forward the founder's post-war recovery spirit, bridging the history of Wakatsuru with the future of Saburomaru.
