1. Register a LuxAuc Account: Unlock Bidding Access
At LuxAuc, a single account provides both "Buyer" and "Seller" functionalities with an intuitive interface.

- Registration Fee: HK$50 (One-time lifetime membership).
- Fair Play Policy: To maintain the integrity of our whisky auctions, sellers are strictly prohibited from bidding on their own listings.
- Features: Once registered, you can track live whisky bidding statuses and participate in global auctions in real-time.

2. LuxAuc Fee Structure for Buyers & Sellers
Before participating in a LuxAuc auction, please review our fee structure (Transaction fees for Credit Cards/PayPal are borne by the user):

2.1. For Buyers
- Membership Fee: $50 (One-time)
- Buyer’s Premium: 12% of Hammer Price
- Shipping & Duties: Fully covered by the buyer (including import taxes)
- Accepted Payments: Bank Transfer, Credit Card, PayPal

2.2. For Sellers
- Membership Fee: $50 (One-time)
- Seller’s Commission: 3% of Hammer Price
- Shipping & Duties: Logistics costs and applicable export duties paid by seller
- Payout Methods: Bank Transfer, Cheque

3. Buyer Essentials: Automated Bidding & Increment Rules
LuxAuc utilizes an advanced Proxy Bidding System to ensure you remain competitive at the best possible price.

3.1 The 3-Step Bidding Process
Select Your Lot: Browse "Live Auctions" and add items to your Watchlist by clicking the heart icon.
Set Your Budget: Enter your "Maximum Bid."
Automated Bidding: The system will automatically place bids on your behalf using the minimum increment necessary to maintain your lead, up to your specified maximum.

3.2 Bid Increment Table
All bids placed during a whisky auction are legally binding and cannot be retracted.

4. Payment, Free Storage & Global Logistics
LuxAuc offers flexible post-auction services, allowing international buyers to manage their collections efficiently.
4.1 Payment Deadline
Payments must be completed within 7 days of the auction closing via "My Account > Shopping Cart."

4.2 Complimentary Storage (6 Months Free)
Consolidated Shipping: Buyers can consolidate multiple wins from different auctions into a single shipment to reduce international freight costs.
Free Period: We provide 6 months of complimentary climate-controlled storage.
Overdue Fee: After 6 months, a storage fee of 2% of the hammer price applies monthly.

4.3 Shipping & Collection
Worldwide Shipping: Orders are typically dispatched within 1-14 business days after payment confirmation.
Local Pickup: You may choose to collect your items from our Hong Kong or Taiwan offices.

LuxAuc's mission is to collect a comprehensive range of bottles for our members. After several years of operation, we have attracted many collectors from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and even overseas to use our platform to sell bottles, which has continuously increased the variety of our source. We understand that customers have their own specific needs, so we will introduce a private purchasing service in addition to our auction events.

Through the private sales service, customers can contact LuxAuc at any time to make any requests, and LuxAuc will assist in sourcing specific bottles. For example, if a customer wishes to find a specific distillery or winery, a specific vintage, or even a particular bottle, they can entrust us to handle it. Additionally, if they see a desired wine at a LuxAuc auction, we can also try to acquire it for them.

The price for private procurement will be negotiated between both parties, and the process will be confidential. LuxAuc will arrange for buyers with the premise of protecting customer privacy.

Previous Payment Process: Members were required to use PayPal's system for credit card payments, incurring a 4.8% processing fee.
New Payment Process: With the introduction of direct credit card payments, members can now skip the PayPal step and enjoy a reduced processing fee of 3.3%.
Membership Registration Fee: Will be updated from PayPal third-party payment to direct credit card payment.

In order to promote a more diverse auction range of LuxAuc, our listing fee policy will be adjusted as follows to encourage sellers to offer a variety of collectibles:
Listing fee of special categories, including miniatures (200ml or below), accessories (for example: glasses) and books will be lowered from HKD 50 to HKD 20. This policy will be started from the upcoming auction.
These special auction items will have their shipping fees calculated separately. Accessories and books will be priced individually based on the case. For consolidated shipments, miniatures will be calculated per 700ml, regarded as one shipping unit (equal to a typical whisky bottle); while total volume under 700ml will be regarded as one shipping unit.
Besides, auction items with extraordinary weight, size, or volume will display their shipping units in the item description.

To align with the new policy for special auction items, we will revise the auction increment level. The minimum increment will be lowered from HKD 50 to HKD 10 within the bid price range of HKD 0.00-HKD 499.00. This change aims to enhance the price competition for low-priced auction items.

To align with the Taiwan auction and cater to more overseas buyers, LuxAuc has introduced new services upon completion of the system interface update. These include a six-month free storage service and the "Shipping Option" function. Upon completing the payment process (bank transfers require our manual update of payment status), you can browse to the 'My Account -- Orders -- Shipping Options' to choose between 'Shipping To' or 'Pick Up' services. If 'Shipping To' is selected, shipping fees will be calculated upon receiving shipping instructions, while the amount will be added to your cart. Once we have confirmed your payment, we will promptly arrange for the shipment.


Different shipping locations adopt different courier services:
1, Taiwan auction shipment within Taiwan local area: T-Cat Taiwan
2, Hong Kong auction shipment within Hong Kong local area: SF Express
3, Other shipments: DHL


Notes:
1, Starting from July, for a more organized arrangement, Hong Kong local shipments will no longer provide "Pay by receiver". Instead, LuxAuc will collect shipping fees upfront before sending out items.
2, For overseas buyers out of Hong Kong or Taiwan who need items shipped to their hotels, please provide early instructions and contact us via the 'Shipping Options'.
3, Reference transportation fees will be updated shortly.

1, Please be aware that the Seller must have a Hong Kong dollar or US dollar account to receive the payment. The transaction amount will be settled in Hong Kong dollars.
2, Buyers should be aware that they are responsible for understanding and complying to all relevant alcohol regulations in their area, including any taxes or fees associated with importing the item.

***Member Registration Related Issues***
1, Buyers and sellers must register as members to use the platform. As a member, you can use both buying and selling functions, but sellers would not be allowed to bid their own items.
2, Membership registration comes with a one-time fee of HKD 50, which will not be refunded.

***Addition of "Watch List" Function***
In each current auction item's upper right corner, there is a heart symbol. By clicking it, you can add the auction item to your watch list.
You can view your watch list in "My Account - Watch List".

***Updates of Buyer Services***
Once the payment has been made, buyers can select their preferred delivery option, either self-pickup or shipping to their designated address, in 'My Account - Orders'.
The auction item will have a 6-month free storage period. However, we do not guarantee any changes in the item's condition during the period, so we advise buyers to pick up or ship out as soon as possible.
After the 6-month free storage period, a storage fee will be occurred. The fee would be calculated by 2% of the hammer price, which will be charged monthly.
If there are no storage fee have been made from the buyer, we will re-list the respective item to the next auction.

***Addition of Seller Function***
1, "Submission List". Sellers can submit items which they intend to sell with descriptions, photos, or files via "My Account - Submission List".
2, "Lots I Am Selling". Sellers can check the status of their auction items that are currently for bid in "My Account - Auctions I Am Selling".
